Encyclopedia Czapiewski is the online perzine of Kevin Czapiewski, Cleveland-based artist and designer (working on adding teacher to that list). Common subject matter found here include comics, design, music, video games, comings-of-age and human culture in general portrayed from a DIY perspective.
Kevin makes a webcomic called Spoilers. A non-linear absurdist fable with tinges of magical realism, Spoilers is about a girl who wants to disappear and things falling apart.
Kevin is a fan of people being nice to each other and the expressive potential of the arts in leading to some form of peace. He’d like to help in some way — either by making comics, teaching people or something in between. He received a BFA in Visual Arts and Technology from the Cleveland Institute of Art with an emphasis in Visual Culture. Originally from the Washington DC area (Northern Virginia), Kevin now lives in Willoughby Hills, Ohio and feels a growing affinity for nearby Cleveland.
