Making lack of new Spoilers even more infuriating, here’s a side thing I did. I worked with the writer, Jennifer, on a freelance project at the beginning of the year. She’s a hero to dogs in need everywhere, and she asked me to do what little I could to help her cause.

Don’t kill Pit Bulls, they don’t deserve it.

Fun Fact for Comics Nerds: The title of the strip was originally called “Cerberus” and so I thought it would be stupid and cute to use the title font from Dave Sim’s Cerebus. The name was changed but the font style remained. TRUE.

ALSO I attempted to start using non-photo blue pencils with this strip. I’ve always preferred the ink work found on original drawings than in final reproductions and I wanted to skip the threshold/bleaching effect that I use to clean up the scanned image, removing pencil traces and such. Didn’t work, because technology has caught up to non-photo blue pencils, and the scanner I used picked it up beautifully. Maybe the pencil was out of batteries…

AND FINALLY Claude is the name of Jennifer’s pit bull who inspired the character. Incidentally, it’s the name of our cranky old chinchilla, as well.
